Spinach is cooked in many ways, but this time we will not use much oil, spices to make it, but using mustard paste, we will make a delicious palak matar recipe in a very easy way. So let’s learn about the methods of making it.

Ingredients required
Spinach – 3 bunches / 200-250 grams, chopped
Green peas – ½ cup
Potato – 3 medium sized, cubes
Tomato – 3 medium sized, cubes
Mustard paste – 3 tbsp
Cumin paste – 1 tsp
Cumin – ½ tsp
Garlic paste – of 8-9 cloves
Onion – 1 small sized, thinly sliced
Oil – 4 tsp
Dry chili – 2-3
Red chili powder – 2 tsp (as per taste)
salt – as per taste
Water – 1 cup

Instruction of making Palak matar
Step 1 – Take a pan in the gas (keep the flame on medium flame) add oil to it, when the oil becomes hot then add cumin and dry chilies and fry a little, then add onion and fry till it becomes golden brown.
Step 2 – After frying the onions, add potatoes, peas, turmeric and salt to it, mix well and leave covered for 2-3 minutes to catch a little
Step 3 – When the vegetable is cooked a little, add mustard and garlic paste and tomato, mix it well and leave it to cook after adding water.
Step 4 – When the vegetable is more than half cooked, add spinach and leave it covered for 4-5 minutes to cook.
Step 5 – Meanwhile, add coriander leaves 3 minutes before removing the pan from the stove.
Step 6 – After 5 minutes remove the pan from the stove. Now Palak Matar with Mustard Paste is ready.
Serve it hot with rice or roti.
