Many recipes can be made from Flat beans but in Odisha it is mostly made with mustard paste. It is made in less time, less oil and less ingredients and the method of making it is also very easy. This recipe is made with Flat beans, potatoes or radish. Then let’s know about the methods of making it.

Ingredients required to make this recipe
Flat Beans – 400 grams
2 large radishes, cut into pieces
Grated coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
Mustard paste – 25 grams
Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Mustard oil – 1 tbsp
Turmeric – 1 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp / as per your taste
salt – as per your taste
Mustard – 1 tsp
Cumin – ½ tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp

Method for making Flat Beans and radish curry
Step 1
– Wash and chop flat beans and radishes, make a paste of mustard (20 grams) and garlic (8-10 cloves).
Step 2 – Heat the wok / pan on the gas in medium flame
Step 3 – After heating the pan, add mustard oil and heat it, after that fry mustard, cumin seeds well, after that add sim and radish, add salt, turmeric to it, and oil it fry a little
Step 4 – Later leave it to cook on low flame
Step 5 – When the vegetable is half cooked, add mustard and garlic paste to it, mix it well with 1 cup of water and leave it to cook completely in medium flame
Step 6 – When the vegetable is cooked well and the water is about to dry, add coriander leaves and garam masala and leave it on medium-low flame for 2-3 minutes.
Step 7 – After 3 minutes take it out of the gas

Now Flat Beans and radish curry with besar is ready, now garnish it with some coriander leaves and serve it with rice or roti.
