Methi Saag Vada

Delicious Methi saag vada recipe is a unique recipe made with different types of Fenugreek greens / Methi saag, which we can eat in lunch or even in evening snacks.
Since childhood, I do not like to eat fenugreek greens / methi saag, that is why my mother used to make this type of vada from greens and feed it to me. That’s how it became my favorite recipe.
It is so tasty to eat that it will be liked by people of all ages, especially children who do not like to eat greens like me. Then let’s learn to make Methi saag Vada

Ingredients required
Fenugreek greens / methi saag – 5 bunches
Potato – 2 medium sized, finely chopped
Raw rice – 1 cup
Chana dal – ¼ cup
Garlic – 10 cloves
Dry chili – 6-7 (as per taste)
Onion – 1 big size, finely chopped
Cumin – 1 tsp
Ginger – ½ inch
Mustard oil – ½ cup (as required)
salt to taste

How to make Methi Saag Vada
Step 1
– First soak raw rice, chana dal, dry chillies and cumin seeds for one and a half hours to 2 hours. When it swells well, add water, ginger and garlic to it and grind it well to make a slurry (the slurry should not be too thick or too thin), now add salt to the slurry and mix well.
Step 2 – Now wash the greens well and cut them into small pieces, then mix the greens, chopped potatoes and onions well in the prepared solution.
Step 3 – Now take a griddle in the gas and heat it on medium-low flame. When the griddle becomes hot, apply mustard oil on the griddle with the help of a brush and make a vada shape with the help of hands and cook it on the griddle (keep the flame on low-medium flame). Fry the vada by adding a little oil till it is cooked.
Prepare all the vadas in the same way and then serve them with Tomato sauce or Green chutney.
