(Coconut Ladoo Recipe) : Coconut Ladoo is a popular Indian sweet made with fresh coconut, sugar, and cardamom powder. Here is a simple recipe to make coconut ladoo:
Ingredients:
2 cups grated fresh coconut
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp of desi ghee
1/4 cup milk
1/4th cup milk powder
Instructions:
Step 1 – Take a heavy-bottomed pan, heat 1 tbsp of Ghee in it, then add the grated coconut and roast on low flame until it turns light brown and fragrant. Make sure to keep stirring it continuously to prevent it from burning.
Step 2 – Once the coconut is roasted, add milk little by little to it and then keep stirring continuously.
Step 3 – When the mixture becomes a little dry, then add sugar to it and mix well. Cook the mixture for another 3-4 minutes on low flame until the sugar melts.
Step 4 – When the sugar melts slightly, add milk powder to it and mix well.
Step 5 – Add cardamom powder and another 1 tbsp ghee to the mixture and keep stirring it continuously until the mixture turns sticky.
Step 6 – Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down a bit.
Step 7 – Once the mixture is cool enough to handle, Make small balls out of the mixture and roll them in your palm to give them a round shape.
Place the ladoos on a plate and let them cool down completely. You can Store the ladoos in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
