Brewing a Beautiful and Healthy Cup of Hibiscus Tea Recipe : A Step-by-Step Guide

(Hibiscus Tea Recipe) : Hibiscus tea is an herbal tea made from the dried calyces of the hibiscus flower. It has been used for centuries for its perceived health benefits. Here are some of the potential health benefits of hibiscus tea:

Making of Hibiscus Tea

Here’s a simple recipe for making hibiscus tea:

Ingredients:

1 Fresh Flower or, 1 teaspoon of dried hibiscus flowers
1 and ½  cups of water
1 teaspoon Lemon 
½  teaspoon honey

Instructions:

1st step – Pluck out petals from the flower and wash them well if you are using Fresh Hibiscus flower.
2nd step – Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a saucepan.

3rd step – Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the flower petals / cup dried hibiscus flowers to the saucepan and Cover the saucepan for 2-3 minutes.

4th step – Strain the tea through a strainer into a cup

5th – Add honey and lemon juice to it.

Now Serve the tea hot or chilled.

Note : You can adjust the amount of hibiscus flowers and steeping time to your desired taste and strength. Adding cinnamon, ginger, or mint can enhance the flavor and provide additional health benefits. If you are using ginger then first boil the grated ginger in the water, after that add hibiscus fresh flower / dried flower to this water.
