The Aromatic Delight of Masala Tea: Spice Up Your Day!

Masala Tea Recipe – Masala tea, also known as Masala Chai, is a popular beverage in India and other South Asian countries. The word “masala” means “spice” in Hindi, and masala tea is made by adding a blend of spices to black tea.

The typical spices used in masala tea include ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper, although variations of the recipe can include other spices such as fennel seeds, star anise, or nutmeg. The tea is usually brewed in a pot with the spices and milk, which gives it a creamy and rich flavor.

Masala tea is a favorite among many people in India, where it is often served to guests as a welcoming gesture. It is also believed to have several health benefits, including aiding digestion and boosting immunity. Masala tea is also enjoyed in other parts of the world, and it has become a popular beverage in many coffee shops and cafe.


Here is a simple recipe for making masala tea:

Ingredients:

2 cups of Milk
½ cup of water 
Sugar according to Taste 
1 tbsp of Tea powder
3-4 green cardamom
½ inch Ginger
12-15 Black pepper
6-7  clove
½ inch of cinnamon

Instructions:

1st step – Pour ½ cup of water in a saucepan, add tea powder to it, Sugar and boil it. After boiling 2-3 minute, take out from the flame

2nd step – Crush the cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and black pepper  in a mortar and pestle. Peel and crush the ginger.

3rd step – Take 2 cups of milk in a saucepan and Add the crushed spices and ginger to it. Bring this to a boil and  let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

4th Step – After that Add the tea to the Milk,  bring another boil

5th step – Reduce the heat and let the tea simmer for a few more minutes. After that turn off the gas.

Strain the tea using a fine mesh sieve.Now your Masala Tea is ready. Serve it with some snacks. This is so flavorful that you can never forget the flavor of this Tea

Note : You can adjust the spice level and sweetness of the masala tea to your liking. Some people also add other ingredients such as fennel seeds, nutmeg, or saffron for a unique flavor.
